Patricia Ann (Edwards) Newsom Obituary

Patricia A. Edwards Newsom, age 77, of Braden, Tennessee, passed away on December 26, 2023. Patricia was born June 4, 1946, in Blytheville, Arkansas to Gene Edwards and Freddie Howard Edwards Brackin. She graduated from Dell High School and retired from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital after a long career as a bookkeeper. In her retirement, Patricia was an active member of Braden United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends and traveling anywhere the road would take her.

Patricia is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, John E. Newsom, her children, Gary Newsom (Cristi) and Alicia Crisp (Hugh), her grandchildren, her brothers, Robert Edwards and Stan Edwards (Cordy) as well as a wonderful group of loving extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Braden United Methodist Church, 230 Hwy 59, Mason, TN 38049 on March 23, 2024, at 11:00 am. Memorials can be sent to the Braden United Methodist Church community food pantry or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
