She was predeceased by: her sons, Eddie McCommon and Mike McCommon; her grandsons, Mark Wade and Clay McKinney; and her great grandchild Bubba Wade.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Edmon; her daughters, Carolyn Little, Patsy Rhodes, Martha "Mot" Hankins (Jerry), Joan Channell, Sandra Hunsucker and Sheila Bermudez (Rey); and her daughter-in-law Jennie McCommon. She is also survived by eight children.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Murrel's name may be made to LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
