She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse James Cooper and Ethel Campbell Cooper; her daughter Karen May; her siblings, JC Cooper, Curtis Cooper, James "Peanut" Cooper, Betty Cole and Ruthann Thompson; and her nephews, Don Riley, James "Peanut" Cooper, Jr. and Lee Cooper.
She is survived by: her husband Freddie Watson; her daughter Renee Ward (John); and her grandchildren, Samantha Lynch (David), Brittani McClure (Glen), Kim May (Chris), Kirstin Ellison (Michael), Adam Ward (Victoria), Chris Ward (Lauren) and Johnathan Ward (Lauren Shea). She is also survived by 9 great grandsons and 8 great granddaughters; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
