She was predeceased by: her husband Bennie Ray Summers; her parents, Clessie C. Carter and Edna McElroy; her sisters, Yvonne Lace and Patricia Griffin; and her stepgrandson Matthew Owens.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Summers (Patricia) and Tammie Summers; and her grandchildren, Katelyn Asbury (Preston) and Benjamin Owens. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
