He was predeceased by: his mother Louise Banton Alley; and his son Richard Keith Combs. He is survived by: his wife Gaylene Combs; his daughters, Kristy A. Combs of Oakland, TN and Rebekah C. Lemmons (Scott) of Collierville, TN.; his grandsons, Joshua Lemmons and Jonathan Lemmons; and also Darron Dowell, Jr. of Boston, MA..
