He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gaither and Leslie Gaither (Pritchard); his brother Jim Gaither; and his pet Milton. He is survived by: his children, Alicia Carpenter (Roger) and Brantley Gaither (Laura); his grandchildren, Alese Carpenter, Alana Carpenter, Dylan Carpenter, Grant Gaither and Cole Gaither; his great grandchild Avery; and his sister Marcia Atwood (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
