He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter A. Klug and Viola Klug (Benninger); his wife Margaret Ann; his son Jim Klug; his siblings, Earl Klug, Doris Marohl, Roland Klug, Helen Nommensen, Louise Kurtz, Geraldine Giese and Verna Ayers; and his sister-in-law Arbutus Pillsbury (Boots).

He is survived by: his son Dean Klug (Glennie) of Memphis; his grandsons, Ted Klug (Mary) of Oklahoma City, Jack Klug of Austin, TX and Barry Klug of Memphis; his daughter Kathy Klug of Bartlett, TN; his daughter-in-law Tricia Klug; his grandchildren, Thomas Klug (Haley) of Johnson City, Daniel Klug (Jessica) of Johnson City, Mary Klug of Johnson City, Anna Klug of Johnson City, Leo Klug of Johnson City, David Klug of Johnson City and Joseph Klug of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; his great grandchild Evy; and his siblings, Ruth Rahn (Ronnie) of Beaver Dam, Anna Zwygart (Craig) of West Bend and Paul Klug (Betty) of Lake Mills, Wisconsin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
