He was predeceased by: his father Lum T. Powers, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Powers; his children, Amy Elizabeth Powers, Christopher Ryan Powers and Eric Anthony Powers; his grandchildren, Caleb Layton Jaureque and Alexandra Grace Jaureque; his mother Wilma Rose Powers; and his siblings, Diana Lenox, Melody Wyatt (Jim), Peggy Kee (Rick) and Bill Powers (Rhonda).

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
