He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil, Sr. Tompkins and Maxine Tompkins. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughters, Teresa Chaney and Stephanie Mulder (Thomas Gideon); his grandchildren, Andrew Chaney (Shannon), Elizabeth Chaney (James), Caroline Finestone (Edward) and Samantha Mulder; and his sisters, Sandra Jenkins (Bud) and Sherry Cook (Richard).

One of his proudest accomplishments was establishing Lakeland Education Foundation to give extra funding to our teachers.
