She was predeceased by: her husband Stanley Hass; her parents, Joe S. Messina, Sr. and Concettina S. Messina; and her stepdaughter Sharon Hass. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Gardello Lackie (Joe), James V. Gardello III, Joseph A. Gardello and John Paul Gardello; her sister-in-law Betty Gardello Trahan; her stepdaughter Andrea Vallier; her grandchildren, Melanie A. Lackie, Thomas A. Lackie and Michael Austin Gardello; and her siblings, Mary Comella of Memphis, Rosa Mardis Buzzarde (Dan), Sarah Criss and Dr. Joe S. Messina, Jr. (Cheri) of Grenada. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Ann Building Fund.
