She was predeceased by: her husband John D. Atkinson, Jr.; her parents, Henry Jernigan and Minnie Jernigan; her siblings, Hazel Jackson, Roger and Joe; and her sons-in-law, Kenneth McDonald, Don Miller and Ronnie Alberson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Charlotte Arkinson of Mason, Wanza Miller-Alberson of Millington and Kathy McDonald of Bartlett; her granddaughters, Crystal Curle (Kevin) and Kenzy Poole (Preston); and her great grandchildren, Kailah Curle, Kelsey Curle and Anniston Jean Poole (Annie). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
