He is survived by: his wife Joyce Joyner DeWitt; his children, Retired LtCol Kevin DeWitt (Christy), Amy Morgan (Jason) and Sergeant Stephen DeWitt (Kendall); and his siblings, David Alan DeWitt and Deborah DeWitt Whaley. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
