He was predeceased by: his wife Trudy "Root" Melton; his parents, Henry Melton and Irene Wise; and his daughter Brenda Lynn Melton. He is survived by: his daughters, Yvonne Gath (Gary) of Inman and Christine Deleon (Jose Luis) of Newport. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
