With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Katherine Rainey of Atwood, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Katherine left this world on February 7, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Shannon Morris and Mildred Wheeler Morris; her husband Joe Clifton Rainey; her son Joe Kidd Rainey; and her brother James Morris.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Powell (Lori) of Trezevant and Jan Reynolds (Ronnie) of Greenfield; her sister Patricia Puckett of Greenfield; her grandchildren, Jennifer Goad, Shannon Goad, Ashley Powell and Chrstina Rainey; her great grandchildren, Lillian Rainey, Maley Stevens, Jonathan Davidson, Bryer Montgomery and Sara Goad; and her great great grandchild John Carroll Davidson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bodkin Funeral Home (2000 S 1st St, Milan, TN 38358). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at the Pisgah Cemetery (361 TN-77, Atwood, TN 38220).
