With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jewell Cowan of Atwood, Tennessee, born in Red Bay, Alabama, who passed away on September 13, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Benjamin Garrett and Emma Ridge Garrett; her children, James Cowan of Atwood, Jack Cowan (Betty) of Rosemark, Teresa Taylor (David) of Medina, Ronald Cowan of Memphis and Trina Lawrence (Jamie) of Milan; her sisters, Iva Nell Garrett of Atwood and Helen Cowan of Orlando, FL; and her grandchildren, Cindy Pinson, Jeff Cowan, Tracy Cowan, Nick Cowan, Raven Browning, Dawn Harris, Lee Ann Allen, Robin Cavaness, Callie Specker, Ronald Wayne Cowan, April Gateley, Jeramie Redmond, Jack Redmond, Josh Taylor, Cody Taylor, Brittany Barner, Erin Lawrence and Wade Lawrence. She was also cherished by forty-two great grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Siloam Family Health Center in Nashville or to the Dream Center in Jackson.
