It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martin Russell Johnston of Atoka, Tennessee, born in Streator, Illinois, who passed away on September 30, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell O. Johnston and Mary Jane Johnston (Weyand); his brother James Johnston; and his father-in-law Burton Evans. He is survived by: his wife Diane Evans; his children, Jennifer Howard (James) of Burlison, Tara Hector of Atoka, Monica Hanks (Blake) of Brighton and Russell Johnston of Burlison; his stepsons, Daniel Biros (Karen Skowera) of Lostant, IL, Lorn Biros of Streator, IL and John Biros of Atoka; his sisters, Mary Kay Gee (David) of Streator, IL and Peggy Morgan of Streator, IL.; his mother-in-law Joyce Evans of Coeur; and his sisters-in-law, Marsha Johnston of Streator, IL and Julie Adamchak (Edward) of Post Falls, ID. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
