He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Johnson and Mildred Johnson (Crockett); and his siblings, Jacquelyn Johnson, Betty Collins, Barbara Weaver, Herbert Johnson and James W. Johnson, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Lisa Johnson; his children, Joshua Johnson (Lauren) of Atoka, TN and Kristi Clark (Cody) of Camp, AR; his grandchildren, Jax Johnson, Luke Johnson and Eveline Clark; and his brother Joe Johnson (Nancy) of Byhalia, MS. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Memphis, TN.
