He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Ellis and Mary Thompson Ellis; his daughter Edna Sue Pace; his grandson Matthew Louis Taylor; and his siblings, Barbara Perry and Richard Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Sawyer Ellis; his daughters, Terry Rodgers (Stan), Barbara Murphy (Randy) and Lesli Goss (Donnie); his grandchildren, Scott Rodgers, Joey Worrell, Brian Worrell, Jamie White, Samantha Dawson, Levi Taylor and Daniel Pace; and his sisters, Kathy Miller, Sandra Yarbrough and Debbie Sparks. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
