He was predeceased by: his father William Hubert, Sr.; and his wife Jane Miller Shultz. He is survived by: his daughter Suzie; his son-in-law Gerald Martin of Cleveland; his grandsons, Jonathan and Stephen Riggs (Betsy); and his great grandchildren, Courtney Riggs and Declan Riggs.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Allen Memorial United Methodist Church of Athens or to a charity of your choice.
