He was predeceased by: his parent George Washington; his wife Alice Irene Armstrong Strickland; and his son-in-law Joe R. White. He is survived by: his parent Edith Underdown Strickland; his son-in-law Betty Bookout (Ralph) of Visalia, CA; his grandchildren, Greg Choat, Kevin Choat (Carman), Michael White, Travis Choat, Trevor Choat (Donna) and Kelly Brown (Stephen); his brother Kelley Strickland of Athens; his grandsons, Russell Cooper, Robert Buckner, Jerry Armstrong, John Goins, Charlie Armstrong, Craig Riley and Chester Brannon; and also, Mary White of Columbia and Faye Choat of Englewood.
