It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia R. Nunley of Athens, Tennessee, who passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack R. Palmer and Pearl Womack Palmer; and her husband James Hugh Nunley. She is survived by: her children, Allen Boggess (Missy) of Athens, Kenneth Boggess (Lori) of Athens and Charlotte Willis of Athens; her siblings, Billy Palmer of Decatur, David Palmer of Niota, Tommy Palmer of Madisonville, Joyce Longwith of Athens and Mary McKenzie of Decatur; her grandchildren, Jefferson Thomas, Jr. (Ray), Zaharrah (Aka Sheila), Samuel Dennis, Rose (Austin Walker), Isais Willis, Brian Boggess and Brittany Boggess (Savannah Hyde); and her great grandchildren, Kaide, Dawson, Lucas, Bryson, Xzayla, Edward, Becca, Kenzi, Bentley, William, Nathaniel, Haley, David, Kolten, Kane, Madalyn and Emeryn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
