He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Jay and Sarah Lou Hutsell Kennedy; and his sister Nadean Cunningham. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Frances Wade Kennedy of Athens; his daughters, Kathy (Clyde Smith) and Cindy Kennedy of Cookeville, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Carmen Davis (Roy), Hayley Mullins (Jeff) and Courtney Smith; and his great grandchildren, Micah Stone, Cody Davis and Jaxon Davis.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home (521 N Jackson St, Athens, TN 37371). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Idlewild Cemetery.
