He was predeceased by: his mother Elizabeth Ann Chastain Roy; and his grandparents, Richmond King and Gertrude Webb Chastain. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Roy of Athens; his son Keith Roy; and his grandsons, William and Marcus.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
