It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Shelton of Athens, Tennessee, who passed away on November 26, 2020, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dooley Goodman and Edith Goodman; and her brother Buddy Goodman. She is survived by: her husband Sammy Shelton of Athens, TN; her children, Sharon Gibson (Randy) of Sweetwater, TN, Ronnie Shelton (Latonya) of Ten Mile and James Shelton (Kerry) of Lenior City, TN; her grandchildren, Rachel Marlowe (Lane) of Statesville, NC, Kimberly Trusley (Shane) of Decatur, TN, Katelin Moon (Jacob) of Decatur, Zachary Shelton (Vanessa) of Ten Mile, Austin Shelton of Niota, TN, Alyssa Shelton of Niota, TN, Kristen Palmer of Athens, TN, Kelsey Shelton (Shayla) of Ten Mile, JT, Tyler Gibson (Alisa) of Harriman, TN, Cici Shelton of Ten Mile, Aubrey Walden of Ten Mile, TN, Brianna Davis (Josh) of Ten Mile, TN and Josh Palmer of Lenior City, TN; her great grandchildren, Mikey, Jace, Kayden, Madison, Triton, Braylynn, Heavenly, Summer, Skylar and Laken; her siblings, John Goodman (Francess), Otis Goodman, Robert Goodman, Kathy Berry, Margaret Russell (Jay), Edna Berry, Faye Thomas and Wanda Oran; her sister-in-law Marylou Roberts; and her close friends, Jill, Jim and Joyce. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
