She was predeceased by: her husband Walter 'Tubby Brown; her son Wayne Hurst; her grandson William Curtis 'Curt Brown; and her significant other Frank Harvey Wells. She is survived by: her siblings, Mattie Smith Sharp, Mary Glenn Smith-Robinson, Ella Hurst, Lilly Smith, Dorothy Coleman of Roosevelt Smith, M. C, Melvin Smith and John Smith; her children, Gale Montgomery of Alcoa, TN., James William 'Rosey Brown (Dianne) of Loudon, TN., Gloria B. Jones of Loudon, TN. and Armetta 'Chopp Murdic (Tony) of Athens, TN.; her grandchildren, Wanda Montgomery, Jovan M. Jones, Ashley Murdic, Alvina T. Brown, Kimberly Hurst and Kathleen Hurst; and her nieces, Patricia Fowler, Mary Robinson of Virginia, Mary Frances Willis and Rosa Lee Ridley. She is also survived by Many nephews, cousins, and friends.
