It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Ann Ion of Athens, Tennessee, who passed away on February 10, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William David and Edna Rea Cabet Yarbrough; her former husband Jerry F. Ingram; her brothers, Ross Yarbrough and Ray Yarbrough; and her sons-in-law, Billy Ray Lankford and Scotty Lynn Grady.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Kenneth Ion of Riceville; her daughters, Debbie Yarbrough of Athens, Joyce Grady of Riceville and Geraldine Russell of Riceville; and her grandchildren, Amanda Ann Shimbir (Ayanle), William Lawrence Morgan (Christina) and Jerry Robert Morgan (Christina). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Ziegler Funeral Home (521 W Madison Ave, Athens, TN 37303-3490). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the McMahan Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery (569 Co Rd 172, Athens, TN 37303).
