He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Blackman and Clara Naomi Burke; his wife Geneva Cass Burke of Athens, Tenn.; his son Norman Lindsey Burke (Rita Burke) of Riceville; his grandchildren, Heather Burke Jarvis (Wayne Jarvis), Matthew Burke (Katie Burke), Rachel Burke and Rebekah Burke; his great grandchildren, Ryan Burke Jarvis and Kennedy Burke; and his siblings-in-law, Ronnie (Joan Cass), Connie Bohannon and Johnnie Cass.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McMinn Regional Humane Society, 219 Alford St., Athens, Tenn.
