Nell Womack Brady Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 28, 2024, at the age of 94, Nell Womack Brady of Athens, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Martin Walker, Sr. and Ollie Mae Bledsoe Walker; her former husband Charles Wiley Womack; her husband Emerson Wesley Brady; her siblings, William Martin Walker, Jr., Dan Walker, David Walker and Margaret Walker Womack; and her sons-in-law, Dick Brady and Michael Stamey.
She is survived by: her children, Curtis (Rhonda Womack), Larry (Bobbie Womack) and Debbie Womack Stamey of Knoxville; her stepchildren, Diane Fetzer (Joe), Janie Wiseman (Jeff) and Sam Brady; her stepdaughter-in-law Linda Brady; her grandchildren, Seth Womack (Tera), Gabe Womack (Melissa), Justin Stamey (Brittany), Luke Womack (Taylor), Lindsey Boyd (Thomas), Lydia Wilson (Garret) and Alison Bull (Cody); and her siblings, Lake Walker (Sue), Nancy Haun (Harold), Rose Hambright and Carolyn Goforth (Delano). She is also survived by three great-grandsons and six great-granddaughters and several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ziegler Funeral Home (521 W Madison Ave, Athens, TN 37303-3490). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at the Upper Spring Creek Cemetery (Co Rd 117, Riceville, TN 37370).
In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Eastanallee Baptist Church Bldg.
