He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Malone and Thomas Malone; his brother Michael Malone; his grandson Johnny Ghormley; and his brother-in-law Gary Turpin.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Malone; his son Brian Malone; his stepchildren, Tina Land of Decatur, TN, Wayne Land of Charleston, TN and Lannisa Land of Athens, TN.; his grandchildren, Makayla Land, Jeffery Land, Nicholas Ghormley and Autumn Land; his great grandchildren, Mia Ghormley, Haiden Ghormley and Haiston Ghormley; his siblings, Marshall Malone, Larry (Judy Malone) and Faye Turpin; his nieces, Rhonda Malone (Jim Withrow), Bridgette Malone and Jamie Withrow; his sister-in-law Maria Malone; and his nephews, Jeremy Malone and Joe Malone.
