He was predeceased by: his mother Anna May Nauman Adams; his wife Patricia S. Adams; his parents-in-law, Haskell and Eva Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Rev. E. Odell and Pat Smith.
He is survived by: his son Chris; his daughter-in-law Meloyne Adams; his grandchildren, Brady Adams of Athens and Rylan Adams of Athens; and his brother Michael E. (Dolores Adams) of Miami, Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mars Hill Presbyterian Church, 205 N. Jackson Street, Athens TN 37303 or to any of the organizations where he volunteered his time.
