He was predeceased by: his parents, Sanders George Griffith and Maude Alice Sisson Griffith; his wife Alice Griffith; and his brothers, Melvin Griffith and Virgil Griffith.

He is survived by: his former wife Alice Lankford; his children, Kathy Osborne (Jerry) of Athens, TN, Tim Griffith of Lawrenceville, GA and Sandra Elkins (Jerry) of Clarksville, GA; and his grandchildren, Cindy, Jody, Dwaine and Jennifer. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
