He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and Irene Williams Richardson; his siblings, Kate Moree, Lorene Carroll, Ann Byrum and Tommy Richardson; and his grandchildren, Samantha Richardson and T. J. Richardson.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Dunsmore Richardson; his children, Angie Rossini (Jason) and Tim Richardson (Missy); his grandchildren, Eric Axley (Devan), Kyle Axley (Jessica), Tyler Axley (Kim), Landen Rossini (Katrina), Dylan Richardson (Alyssa) and Tori Timm (Zach); his great grandchildren, Caroline, Kylie, Journi, Emrys, Rylei, Aldric and Teddy; his sister Jean Moon; and also, Pat Melton and Gene Queen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ziegler Funeral Home (521 W Madison Ave, Athens, TN 37303). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McMinn Memory Gardens (1727 Co Rd 560, Athens, TN 37303).
