He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earl and Mary Glenna Carroll Elliott; his former wife Carolyn Hutsell Elliott; his son-in-law Will Donegan; his siblings, Edward Elliott (Mattie), Clifford Elliott (Joan), Louise Kennedy (Jack) and Francis Crittendon (Owens); and his sisters-in-law, Betsy Elliott and Joyce Elliott.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Elliott (Elisha) of Athens, Sandy Neyman (Mike) of Niota and Lori Donegan of Athens; his grandchildren, Crystal Clarey (Matt), Logan Clarey, Emma Clarey, Lacey Fiegle (Adam), Stark Fiegle, Emery Smith, Tinley Smith, Krew Mays, Chynna Mays (Drew), Brandy Wilder (Trevor), Alfred William Donegan IV (Elizabeth), Kenneth Alexander Donegan, Katie Elliott and Kalli Elliott; his great grandchildren, Logan Clarey, Emma Clarey, Hannah Fiegle, Gavin Fiegle, Stark Fiegle, Emery Smith, Tinley Smith, Krew Mays, Madison Wilder, Hunter Wilder and Alfred William "Freddy" Donegan V.; his stepchildren, Sharon Johnson (Emmette) of Athens, Tenn and Jerry Lynn Brown; his daughter Karen (Jeff McCay); his stepgrandchildren, Max McCay, Micki Key, Jeremy and Joey Brown; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jayden, Kayden, Sevy, Lilly, Landen, Lucas and Sullivan Key.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home (521 N Jackson St, Athens, TN 37371). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sewee Church of God (371 Co Rd 225, Niota, TN 37826).
