He was predeceased by: his parents, Buck Mason and Ann York; his sisters, Ollie Farris, Betty Leamon and Ruby Ricker; and his grandson William Braden.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Ruth Newman York of Athens; his children, David Gennoe, Jeff York, Chris (Tonya York) and Bonnie Braden; his granddaughters, Hailey Marie Braden and Alyssa Braden; and his great grandchild Acadia Odell.
