She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Brockman and Mabel Monroe Brockman; her son Mark Douglas Copeland; and her sisters, Alice Effler, Lucille Durant and Eleanor Morris.

She is survived by: her husband David Lee Copeland of Oak Ridge; her children, Terry Pfeiffer (Robert) of Oak Ridge, David Copeland, Jr. (Kandi) of Oak Ridge and Jean Wells (Barry) of Gallatin; her grandchildren, Matthew E. Miller of Gallatin and Kelly Copeland Williams of Edmond, WA; her stepgrandson Michael Pfeiffer of Knoxville; and her siblings-in-law, Bill and Pat Copeland of Pearl River, LA. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter; two step-great grandsons; and several nieces & nephews.
