He was predeceased by: his mother Carolyn C. Phillips Farmer; his sister Tina Renee Griffin; his grandparents, Robert Norman Farmer Sr., Dorothy Ann Colbaugh Farmer, John Morgan Phillips and Olivine Phillips; and his nephew Kevin Farmer.

He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Lundy Farmer; his father Robert Farmer; his children, Ethan Farmer (Mishela), Nathan Farmer, Olivia Farmer, Brandon Hayes (Kandis) and Joseph Huskey (Jessica); and his grandchildren, Eliza Farmer, Isaiah Huskey and Trinity Huskey.
