We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2022, at the age of 69, James Edwin Guffey of Athens, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father James C. Guffey. He is survived by: his mother Majorie Wade Guffey; his wife Melissa Hancock Guffey; his daughter Leah Marie; his grandchildren, Ayla and Thoren; his stepsons, Jacob, David, Josh and John Richard; his siblings, Carol Russell and David Clay Guffey; his niece Katy Russell; his nephew Andy Russell; and his great-nephews, Isaiah and Kaiden.

The family suggests memorials be made to Clearwater Cemetery Fund c/o Clearwater Baptist Church, 964 Co. Rd. 180, Athens, TN 37303.
