He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Loftis; and his wife Mary Carvin. He is survived by: his daughter Victoria Smith; and his grandchildren, Brandy Smith Graham, Daniel Smith and Christopher Smith. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
