He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Spurling and Zula Spurling; his brother Raymond Spurling; and his parents-in-law, Nellie Lonas and Paul Lonas.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Spurling; his daughters, Lisa (Tony Crowder), Karen (Gary Entz) and Crystal (Darrin Miller); his grandchildren, Dustin (Tamaryn Crowder), Jessica Crowder, Ashley Yarbrough, Trey Mingee, Shane Miller and Emily Miller; his great grandchildren, Isabelle and Titus Crowder; his siblings, Tony (Wanda Spurling), Steve (Ann Spurling), Paul (Tammie Spurling) and Linda; and his brother-in-law Paul Williams.
