She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Judy Shelton (Don); her grandchildren, Rebecca Balch (Rob) and Casey Shelton (Amanda); her brother Larry Smith (Judy); her husband Frank Lowery; her parents, Dewey Flowers and Lizzie Smith; her stepfather John Smith; her parents-in-law, Jonah D. and Ona Lowery; her siblings, Leo Flowers and Irene Voiles; and her close friend Maxine Crouch. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Centerbell Baptist Church.
