He is survived by: his wife Gerwonda Ballew Smith of Athens; his children, Patty Phillips (Seth) of Athens and Frank Michael Smith of Athens; his siblings, June Lingerfelt of Chattanooga and Henry Smith (Nina) of Athens; his siblings-in-law, David and Shirley Ballew; and his great grandchild Many. He is also survived by Many Nieces and Nephews.
