Frances Wilcox Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 6, 2025, at the age of 79, Frances Wilcox (Athens, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jay and Isabell Doss Trusley; and her husband William Jerome Wilcox. She is survived by: her children, Mary Melissa Wilcox (Missy) of Niota, William "Bill" (Christine Wilcox) and Charles Edward Wilcox of Niota; her grandchildren, Jasmin Carter (Jimmy), Jessica Ann Douglass (Robert) and Samantha Duncan (Andrew); her great grandchildren, Jonathan Wilcox, Lillian Carter, James Duncan and Alexandra Duncan; her close friends, Lisa Womac and Jaina Medlin; and her pets, Bella and Baby Rose. She is also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ziegler Funeral Home (521 W Madison Ave, Athens, TN 37303-3490). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at the Niota Cemetery.
