She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Ross Thomas and Thursie Copeland Thomas; her husband Charles Oakes; her brother Albert Ray Thomas; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret O. King and William Bee King.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (1010 S White St, Athens, TN 37303). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McMinn Memory Gardens (1727-1739 Co Rd 560, Athens, TN 37303).
