He was predeceased by: his parents, James Laney and Martha Calhoun Laney; and his sister Patricia Carol Laney. He is survived by: his wife Debra Nicholson Laney; his children, Tina Moses (Steve Brannon), Diana Key, Tanya (Brian Hess), Nicole (Michael Johnson), Tony Laney and Rusty (Charlotte Laney); and his siblings, Lila Laney, Judy Ogle, Danny (Nancy Laney), Donny (Rebecca Laney) and Ralph (Darla Laney). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Grove Baptist Church Christmas Mission, 647 Creek Rd., Reliance, TN 37469.
