He is survived by: his parent Nora Lawson Cate; his sister Mary Cate of Athens; his sons-in-law, Judy Barnett, Tommy Barnett of Athens, Jane Harrelson and Bobby Harrelson of Moncks, SC; his son Bobby Cate of Sumter, SC; his daughter-in-law Robin Cate of Sumter, SC; his grandchildren, Shaye Beville (Danny), Catelyn Barnett, Abbie Harrelson, Alex Barnett, Lawson Cate, Ryan Cate and Robbie Harrelson; and his great grandchild Hannah Hamblin of Athens.
