She was predeceased by : her parents, King Hicks and Zenovia Stansberry Hicks; her husband Charles "Chuck" Riedel; her son Nicholas Lee Riedel; and her brothers, Curtis Hicks and Ed Hicks.

She is survived by : her son Douglas Scott Riedel I of Athens; and her siblings, Lucille Burke of Athens, Jane Johnson (Bill) of Athens and Dennis Hicks (Betty) of Athens. She is also survived by Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
