Debra June Brown Obituary
Age 65, of Athens, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at her residence. A native of Dayton, Ohio and a resident of Kentucky, and Tennessee most of her life, she was the daughter of the late Admiral Dewey and Hazel Yvonne Jordan Shockey. She was a member of Marshall Hill Baptist Church and loved her family dearly. Survivors Husband of 30 years, Steven Brown of Athens Sons , Randall Scott Stem, William Dan (Amy) Peyton, Robert Russell Stem.Thomas. Ward Brown, Anthony Ross Brown, Three daughters Shannon (Billy) Cornelison, Melissa Deanne Ashford. and Jackie Renee Ward Numerous grand and great grandchildren Brothers Admiral Dewey (Thelma) Jr. Shockey, Alan Dale (Almeda) Shockey, George Dean (Carolyn) Shockey, Danny Walter (Brenda) Shockey. Sister Dixie Pearl (Frank) Boggess, Donna Cecile (Junior) Baker.
Funeral service will be 3:00pm Saturday, March 21, 2020 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Travis Torbett officiating.
The interment will follow the service at Pond Hill Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be grandchildren and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 am-2 pm Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the funeral home before the service.
