He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Wayne McConkey (Lauren) and Jeffrey Duwayne McConkey; his stepson Donnie Lee Ricker; his brothers, Gary McConkey, Billy McConkey and Ronnie McConkey; his grandchildren, Ryan Dean McConkey, Haylei Rose McConkey, Cody Wayne McConkey, Aaron McConkey, Justin McConkey, Ashley McConkey, Skylar Jones, Whitley Wooden, Carter Wooden and Bailey Wooden; and his former wife Virginia Carol Hicks. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
