He was predeceased by: his parents, Moody Bitner and Eudema Bitner. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Broyles Bitner; his sons, Michael (Diana Bitner) and Stephen (Paulette Bitner); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Bitner of Charlotte, NC, Amy Moss (Russell) of Elgin, SC and John Bitner of Chapel Hill, NC. He is also survived by several cousins and special friends.
