He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Thomas and Ella Roberts Marler; his siblings, Arthur Marler, Ed Marler, Luther Marler, Emma Jean Roberts, Auda Lee Mattis and Opal Ratledge; and his sisters-in-law, Juanita Inman and Verleen Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Thompson Marler; his niece Elisha Shamblin (Don) of Marietta; his nephews, Gino Inman (Darla) and Nick Inman (Renee); his great-nieces, Tawnya Brogdon, Tina Stewart and Courtney Jones; his great-nephew Mark Shamblin; and his friends, Terry, Penny Smith of Athens, Robert, Tina Riden of Niota and Dot Haney of Athens. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
